The QSFP28-DXX-ZR1 optical transceiver module is designed for long-range 100G Ethernet transmission, supporting distances of up to 80 kilometers over single-mode fiber (SMF) with LC duplex connectors. Utilizing DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology with a 100GHz grid in the C-Band, the module provides high-bandwidth, long-distance data transmission while maintaining spectral efficiency.
The transceiver features PAM4 modulation for enhanced performance over extended distances and is ideal for metro networks and long-haul applications. Operating in commercial temperature (C-temp) environments, it is well-suited for data centers and enterprise networks. The hot-swappable design enables easy integration or replacement without interrupting network operations, while its energy-efficient design ensures minimal power consumption.
