Rochester, NY — January 31, 2023 — Precision OT, a global optical system engineering and integration company, has announced its participation in the OIF PLL Interop Demo, which will take place during OFC 2023 in San Diego, California. OIF is hosting the largest multi-vendor interoperability demonstration while onsite, and Precision OT will take part with a specialized focus on 400ZR optics multi-vendor interoperability.
The live optical networking solutions demo will have 34 participating OIF members and will include the following four areas: 400ZR optics, Co-Packaging architectures, Common Electrical I/O (CEI) architectures and Common Management Interface Specification (CMIS) implementations.
“As Internet infrastructure has never been more critical, the move to 400G transmission continues to play a dominant role in today’s networks,” said Principal Field Application Engineer Pol Torres Compta, who will be a participant in the on-site demo. “In a multi-vendor Network ecosystem like most customers have, it is key for the industry to come together and ensure multi-vendor interoperability in these key areas. I look forward to representing Precision OT alongside other key industry members who strive to create a better network for tomorrow.“
400ZR coherent optics have greatly impacted Data Center Interconnect (DCI) technology and will continue to do so through the next decade. It was recently reported by Zion Market Research that the coherent optical equipment market size is projected to reach 45.22 Billion by 2023. Additionally, network operators are in greater need of systems integration partners to help them overcome deployment challenges. As a company that manufactures high-quality, interoperable optics and provides advanced engineering support to its customers, Precision OT is uniquely positioned to assist the network operator’s journey to 400ZR.
