Une fois que ce signal est envoy\u00e9 dans la fibre unique, une op\u00e9ration inverse doit \u00eatre effectu\u00e9e afin de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer les flux d&#039;informations ind\u00e9pendants d&#039;origine. Cette op\u00e9ration inverse est connue sous le nom de d\u00e9multiplexage. Semblable aux multiplexeurs, le dispositif de d\u00e9multiplexage a ses propres sp\u00e9cifications qui doivent \u00eatre prises en compte lors de la conception d&#039;un syst\u00e8me de r\u00e9seau. L&#039;appareil introduit une perte de signal dans le cadre du processus de d\u00e9multiplexage\u00a0; cela doit \u00eatre pris en compte lors de la conception du lien. La perte doit \u00e9galement \u00eatre prise en compte car elle peut aller de 2db \u00e0 3db. Enfin, le d\u00e9multiplexeur doit \u00eatre compatible avec le multiplexeur qui se trouve \u00e0 l&#039;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 oppos\u00e9e de la fibre.\u00a0<strong>Un syst\u00e8me RX\/TX de base<\/strong>\u00a0Comme la communication est bidirectionnelle, il est typique qu&#039;un multiplexeur et un d\u00e9multiplexeur soient pr\u00e9sents des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de la liaison.
