Aujourd&#039;hui, avec la croissance explosive et incessante de la demande de capacit\u00e9 de donn\u00e9es, l&#039;OFDM est sur le point de prendre la sc\u00e8ne pour inaugurer la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de vitesses de transmission optique. R\u00e9cemment, des chercheurs ont men\u00e9 une \u00e9tude o\u00f9, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, le 560G a \u00e9t\u00e9 transmis avec succ\u00e8s sur une fibre monomode \u00e0 deux kilom\u00e8tres. Pour atteindre cette vitesse, la modulation 128-QAM a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e dans une configuration de multiplexage grossier en longueur d&#039;onde (CWDM) \u00e0 quatre canaux, chaque canal transportant 140G pour un total de 560G. Bien que sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 transporter plusieurs flux de donn\u00e9es augmente la vitesse et la capacit\u00e9, cette capacit\u00e9 peut entra\u00eener de mauvaises performances d&#039;interconnexion en raison de son rapport de puissance cr\u00eate \u00e0 moyenne (PAPR) \u00e9lev\u00e9.
