Le projet devrait \u00eatre achev\u00e9 d&#039;ici 2018 et \u00e9tendra la port\u00e9e oc\u00e9anique entre Hong Kong et Los Angeles. Le PCLN devrait \u00eatre le r\u00e9seau de donn\u00e9es \u00e0 fibre optique le plus rapide entre les \u00c9tats-Unis et l&#039;Asie avec une capacit\u00e9 de 120\u00a0Tbits\/sec. Cela double le record transpacifique actuel, qui est d\u00e9tenu par un r\u00e9seau financ\u00e9 par Google connu sous le nom de FASTER Cable System.
