Le nouvel amplificateur est extr\u00eamement compact avec une amplification \u00e0 gain \u00e9lev\u00e9, et fonctionnera avec des \u00e9metteurs-r\u00e9cepteurs et des r\u00e9seaux \u00e0 fibre optique pour augmenter la puissance de transmission de la lumi\u00e8re avant l&#039;\u00e9puisement d\u00fb aux pertes optiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce d\u00e9veloppement a le potentiel de remplacer les amplificateurs volumineux et co\u00fbteux qui sont actuellement utilis\u00e9s pour \u00e9tudier l&#039;odeur attoseconde et le traitement optique ultrarapide de l&#039;information. La recherche a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par des chercheurs scientifiques du Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MT) et de l&#039;Universit\u00e9 de technologie et de design de Singapour (SUTD). Les d\u00e9tails de leurs d\u00e9couvertes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 divulgu\u00e9s dans Nature Communications le 4 janvier 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon SUTD Asst. Professeur Dawn Tan, l&#039;amplificateur optique a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et &quot;... capable d&#039;amplifier la lumi\u00e8re de 17 000 fois \u00e0 la longueur d&#039;onde des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications.&quot; Elle a \u00e9galement cr\u00e9dit\u00e9 l&#039;utilisation d&#039;une plate-forme propri\u00e9taire connue sous le nom de &quot;nitrure riche en silicium ultra&quot; comme un facteur primordial dans la r\u00e9ussite du projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le nouvel amplificateur atteint une amplification \u00e9lev\u00e9e dans son \u00e9l\u00e9ment compact. Ceci est le r\u00e9sultat de la conception et de la mise en \u0153uvre d&#039;un amplificateur qui fonctionne simultan\u00e9ment avec une efficacit\u00e9 photonique \u00e9lev\u00e9e et une non-lin\u00e9arit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e. D&#039;autres plates-formes de ce type ont historiquement rencontr\u00e9 des probl\u00e8mes de compatibilit\u00e9 avec ces facteurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Les r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9montrent que la plate-forme de nitrure ultra-riche en silicium est extr\u00eamement prometteuse pour les applications d&#039;optique non lin\u00e9aire hautement efficaces, en particulier dans le domaine de la photonique CMOS exploitant l&#039;infrastructure \u00e9lectronique existante&quot;, selon le Dr Doris Ng, du stockage de donn\u00e9es A * STAR Institut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette nouvelle plate-forme devrait permettre la spectroscopie \u00e0 large bande \u00e0 moindre co\u00fbt, l&#039;imagerie hyperspectrale et la
