Aunque las puertas de Bragg se han utilizado como filtros en el pasado, es el componente reflejado y no el componente transmitido el que se ha comenzado a utilizar recientemente. La pionera espa\u00f1ola en fot\u00f3nica Ivana Gasulla ha creado recientemente una cavidad de retardo de tiempo inscribiendo rejillas de Bragg en n\u00facleos individuales de una fibra multin\u00facleo (MCF).<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/srep41727#f7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u207d\u00b9\u207e<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este novedoso uso de la rejilla de Bragg es posible gracias al brillante uso de lentes, espejos y m\u00e1scaras con transductores piezoel\u00e9ctricos para enfocar, apuntar y colimar el haz de transcripci\u00f3n. La fibra multin\u00facleo est\u00e1 suspendida entre dos montajes CNC que giran el MCF seg\u00fan sea necesario para inscribir cada fibra individual con una puerta apodizada precisa para reflejar la frecuencia deseada. El dispositivo de transcripci\u00f3n de fibra de Ivana Gasulla tambi\u00e9n tiene una funci\u00f3n de traducci\u00f3n asistida por computadora que permite el patr\u00f3n de m\u00faltiples puertas de Bragg a lo largo de la misma longitud de fibra. Es probable que este nuevo m\u00e9todo se utilice en el circuito l\u00f3gico de los transceptores en el futuro, ya que tiene la capacidad de resolver frecuencias individuales y crear retardos de tiempo diferenciales entre ellas.
