Sobald dieses Signal \u00fcber die einzelne Faser gesendet wird, muss ein umgekehrter Vorgang durchgef\u00fchrt werden, um die urspr\u00fcnglichen unabh\u00e4ngigen Informationsstr\u00f6me wiederherzustellen. Dieser umgekehrte Vorgang wird als Demultiplexen bezeichnet. \u00c4hnlich wie Multiplexer verf\u00fcgt das Demux-Ger\u00e4t \u00fcber eigene Spezifikationen, die beim Entwurf eines Netzwerksystems ber\u00fccksichtigt werden sollten. Das Ger\u00e4t f\u00fchrt im Rahmen des Demux-Vorgangs zu einem Signalverlust. Dies sollte bei der Gestaltung des Links ber\u00fccksichtigt werden. Der Verlust sollte ebenfalls ber\u00fccksichtigt werden, da er zwischen 2 dB und 3 dB liegen kann. Schlie\u00dflich sollte der Demultiplexer mit dem Multiplexer am gegen\u00fcberliegenden Ende der Faser kompatibel sein.\u00a0<strong>Ein einfaches RX\/TX-System<\/strong>\u00a0Da die Kommunikation bidirektional ist, ist es \u00fcblich, dass auf beiden Seiten der Verbindung ein Multiplexer und ein Demultiplexer vorhanden sind.
